An interior designer's guide to living your best outdoor life!

So many of my clients are eager to embrace that indoor/outdoor lifestyle in their homes (weather permitting)!  Combining indoors with outdoors not only fills your space with beautiful natural light but also makes it feel so much more expansive.

When space is in short supply, it can act as another living room or the perfect spot for al fresco dining.  Whether starting fresh or making the most of what you've already got, we've got five fantastic tips to share for seamlessly blending indoor with outdoor spaces.

  1. Create a flow between indoor and out

  2. Let in as much light as possible

  3. Coordinate colours between the inside and outside spaces

  4. Add plants inside to tie the rooms together

  5. Style your outdoor area with comfortable seating so it is an extension of your living room

If you are feeling overwhelmed and need some guidance on how to make use of your outdoor space, book a 1-1 consultation so we can create an outdoor living area for you and your family to enjoy.

In interior design, indoor-outdoor living blurs the lines between inside and outside spaces, promoting a relaxed vibe where nature seamlessly merges with indoor comforts. From big windows to cosy outdoor nooks, this trend celebrates openness and tranquillity, inviting us to unwind and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Happy outdoor living!
